That's cool that you let the members know how we stand financially. It shows how important the donations are, and that every couple of quid count.
Just that you mention the new designs, is it worth running another competition? It'd help stir up interest/awareness too in the new designs.

The donations are Vital, without them we wouldn't be able to pay the bills for running the site.

Im all for the Design contest.. ..but Im moving the other suggestions to another thread :-)

I just want to echo this statement, donations allow us to be the number 1 model specific car club in Ireland! The more we get in, the more we can offer to the membership.

The committe decided that there would be value in being open and honest about the finances, we're a very small outfit in comparison to some other clubs but at least is gives people an indication how their donations are spent.

We welcome any ideas you might have in terms of fund raising or revenue generation, all suggestions are welcome.

What about using the meets to generate a bit of cash and possibly add to the enjoyment? The numbers attending on the ones I've been on have been quite healthy.

I'm thinking in the way of something like a poker run. I've been on dozens and dozens of these down through the years on the bike. You know the idea... a tenner a head... a card from the deck at each check-point... best hand at the end wins (a prize from the shop?).

Of course, anyone who didn't want to take part would still be welcome to join the run. No pressure, just a bit of craic.

I'd certainly be up for it.
