So to update this thread. I can't remember exact figures, but I ended up with about 1k, plus the fto, which was not too bad. I sold the car to my brother who got it repaired and then some for €370. The bumper was repaired and sprayed. An unrelated crack in the quarter panel was repaired too. A facelift bumper was also installed and sprayed, all for that low low price. Crazy, considering one of the quotes for repair was nearly 5k.

I attended a few physio sessions and my jaysus they hurt like hell. My neck movement was restricted and head tilted forward from the injury. I hadn't even noticed this until I was getting my neck pushed, pulled, twisted, turned and broken by the physiotherapist at the hospital. I was sweating when I had to return for extra sessions and when I was told I didn't have to return unless I felt a need....well....I didn't return. My neck is still a bit stiff at times. My back is doing fine now. Last month I took up a training program called Insanity and it has been improving my flexibility and general fitness too. I'm taking the chance to better myself, rather than be pissed off every time I have a twinge in my neck.

I will be visiting a specialist in the next few days to check on my injury and while being in good condition might take from any compensation I could receive, I am much happier feeling healthy. I know honesty isn't always the best policy when dealing with these sharks, but as long as my conscience is clear, I can sleep at night.
