My Carbon fibre bonnet

Thought I'd share these with you. Just fitted Saturday and I think looks cool
Someone on here has bought the other one of two from Ricerocket, so hey, you can see what its going to look like

Hmm, those pics don't load JJ, I thunk its something to do with the fact that you can't view ftos.net outside of the UK, while I've been able to load the site once or twice in the past, generally, I can't access the site.

yup it was me, it's winging it's way over this week, but unfortunately it won't be fitted straight away, i've a facelift bozz and dc skirts to put on first, that and a turbo!!

looks tasty though!

Anything that reduces weight in an FTO is good in my books - the standard bonnet weights quite a bit - a carbon or even aluminium bonnet is a good mod - the best way to make your car faster is to cut the fat IMO. Carbon bonnet actually goes with the burgundy better than I thought it would.

No its not a re spray, imperial red always looks really good when polished up imho.

I'm really pleased with the way it looks ... it wasn't really bought for the weight loss, but mainly because its something different

Its not unusual JJ - there are several high performance sports cars and many track cars that would have carbon fibre bonnet, wings, boot lid, roof etc in carbon fibre sprayed to match the paint job. Carbon Fibre for me would be about weight loss - as previously mentioned - there is a very small number of people that would even recognise a carbon bonnet for what it is - a light coat of paint makes a lot of sense on a road car. I guess its down to personal preference - but I would have a lot of respect for the guy that buys a carbon bonnet and then sprays it to match his paintwork. Me - I'd leave the carbon bonnet as it is - but it'd be for the wrong reasons

My bonnet arrived in one piece, haven't been home yet but now it's decision time, do i put it one or wait till early next month and fit it with the facelift bozz and dc skirts????????

I'd wait and do all the mods at one tiem that way you'll see the complete transformation
