JUST FAILED THE NCT
THE HANDBRAKE IS A LITTLE FAULTY.
IS IT JUST A CASE OF THE CABLE BEING TIGHTENED??
I WOULD BE GREATFUL IF ANYONE WHO HAD A SIMILAR SITUATION
COULD ADVISE

Decko, you probably need to just tigheten the handbrake cable, its meentioned in the following guide on Steve Hemmings site: http://www.mitsubishi-fto.org/workshop/ ... index.html

It really depends. Tightening may work but if it doesn't, which happened to me at one stage, you need to get the handbrake done. Think I need a new cable brought across from Japan. It is expensive enough job but in my case it had to be done as the handbrake was always a bit too loose to really hold the car as tight as it should.
