Problems with Outlook Express

Postby steelroe » Thu Mar 12, 2009 11:06 am

I am getting gthe following error when I try to send mail using any of my Yahoo accounts

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'kilderrysouth@yahoo.co.uk'. Subject 'Raider info', Account: 'YAHOO-KILDERRYSOUTH', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 authentication required - "for help go to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/pop-11.html"', Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

I tried the help and made changes but still no good.

In OE, go to Tools > Accounts > Properties > Servers, enable 'my server requires auth', click on 'settings and enter your yahoo email address and password + remember password.
