Welcome along Denise, try and get some pics up when you can.
There's a few more "lady owners" on the site, I'm sure they'll be happy to have another female member :D

Welcome along Denise, As bernard said, try and get some pics (of the car!) up.

:wel

Have a look around the different sections of the site, there's loads of useful stuff in there. practically every issue to do with FTOs has been covered over the years.

As far as the insurance goes I think its a case of taking out the phonebook and ringing everyone, its something I'm dreading to have to do myself in the next few weeks...

I would think you'd get a better price being of the fairer s3x, they are difficult to insure though!

WTTC.
€1500 is shocking for a lady to be paying for an FTO. I'm a male 28 and only paying €700-800(cant remember exaxt figure) for tpft with quinn and thats gone up because of a theft claim last year, it was €600-700. My quote was about €1000-1100 for fully comp if memory serves me correctly.
I'm surprised to find a lady paying more for insurance than a man, I thought that didn't happen Only thing you could try is maybe going tpft and seeing if you can afford that. Only downside is if you crash. A replacement FTO would cost you around €1500 now anyway so it might be worth considering tpft insurance.
You might also try increasing the excess on your insurance, that can bring it down but I've no idea of how much it would save you.

I would say welcome to the club but you're already selling up. Joined the forum today - 14 posts so far today - two around getting a lower insurance quote and NOW you're selling?

The more cynical amongst us (and its possibly just me on my lonesome) would think you're just posting enough (min of 10 posts for the for sale thread) so you can put your FTO up for sale.
