may be replacing my plugs tomorrow. do i need to get myself a certain size or type of spanner for the job?? i have a GR

No a normal socket set should be okay.

Good luck getting the plugs out with a standard 1/4" drive socket. If you haven't got access to a standard FTO plug tool, consider machining down a socket - fine if you've access to a lathe of course. If anyone can confirm if a particular brand of socket that will fit down the plug barrel unhindered, post it here.

cheers guys its ok. its a 10mm got 1 anyway so just have to stop bein lazy and do it tommorow.

Same plug barrel diamter IIRC. Last time I changed plugs on a GX, a standard socket (Draper) wouldn't fit.

Same story on silver gr scrapper, Halfords socket wouldn't fit.
