At least its an improvement on the standard WRX.

Kinda like Mary Harney being an improvement on Maggie Thatcher I know but nevertheless if offered a free ride I still would............

Harney or the STI? If its the latter you're referring to, it knocks out 308PS (1470kg), 311lbs ft, 4.8 0-100kph so yeah, its quick. You'll have to ask MfFTO about Harney....
