You're welcome to come along in non-fto wheels if you've got alternate transportation in the meanwhile...

Ok, listen up!

Karting is booked for 2pm on Satuday the 25th, I suggest that we all aim to get to the venue for 1.30pm, with 20+ people, signing papers and getting kitted out will take a while.

For those of you coming from the Dublin side, lets meet in the carpark of the Foxhunter pub on the N4 at Lucan at 12:30pm with a view to hitting the road before 1pm. Those of you approaching from other areas should organise to get your own convoys going if possible!

This is the latest list of attendees, if you're listed but can't make it for whatever reason, let me know:

    1. CJ
    2. MfFTO
    3. Muad
    4. Damo
    5. Agent S (no karting)
    6. RussMan
    7. IP
    8. Colin C
    9. PT FTO
    10. Dave
    11. GtoIrl
    12. Nigel
    13. Gfalls
    14. Chuck
    15. Helen (no karting)
    16. IrishGirl
    17. Elaine
    18. Alloywheelsinternational
    19. JD (no karting)
    20. PajEvo
    21. Kevinod
    22. Kace (tentative)
    23. TheJaff
    24. Mustang

I've been snowed in with work of late so I havn't had a chance to organise anything afterwards, I'd appreciate if someone who knows that part of the country could get in touch with a view to organising a venue for a bite to eat afterwards.

Heres a map from www.midlandkarting.com (don't know how accurate it is!):

Image

From the Dublin side, stay on the N4 all the way to Edgeworthstown and take a right onto the N55 towards Granard, about a mile and a half outside town, theres a turn in for Midlands Karting. The number on their website is no longer active, the mobile no listed is 087 2748266.

Cost for the grand prix is €50 PP

All we need now is a fuppin' rain free day to wash the cars before Saturday week!

I'm probably not going to make it now I'm afraid... :( the band is supposed to be going to Belfast the tues/wednesday after that weekend so we'll more than likely be working on polishing up our tunes all that weekend (badly needed polishing ). We got into a battle of the bands thing on UTV, disk rock or something like that? :?

I would love to make this (and have spent more money on the car lately than I would have otherwise) but with our lead singer/guitarist off to italy for a week tonight of all times :smt021 we're going to need all the practise time we can get.

When you turn right in Edgeworthstown, travel that 1.5 mile ish.The turn is on the left but not well signposted and only a small road so keep an eye out. You then travel up that road for another half mile or so and the car park is at the end.

Are we going to stay in edgeworthstown or go up to longford town afterwards for food? How many plan on having a few scoops/going out and staying over?

If you take the n4 exit off the M50 heading west you'll only be about a mile away. Just continue down the road until you see a Texaco garage on you left and the foxhunter is just after it.
