Yeah mine moves a little.
Moved on my old GR and my current GPX the exact same way.
Nothing to worry about there.

If you still need an altenator let ne know if 2 extra ones here you can have

Ya KAce mine moves as well, I know cause its something I used always be fascinated with. And as far as I remember when the key is turned to 2 its 12V as well.

Mine reads 12v before starting the car - 14v after. No needle movement when indicator is switched on.
How fresh is your battery Kace?

Yeah battery is not the freshest to be fair. However what I'm more anxious about is that the new alternator isn't producing the charging output expected and that this is causing Mr Mivec to stay asleep.

Not sure how to verify this though.

I think its the battery Kace. Mine moved in my GR until I put a bigger battery into it and then it stopped moving. Doesn't move in the Mivec....way too much power there hehehehe

I let the mivec roar for the first time today. Until then, I just drove it normally. Saw the 5,500 rpm post and thought i would check it out
97 Manual GPX. Icecelle Blue.
Other Stuff: Induction kit. Front Strut. Apex Lowered. 17" Kahns. Quad exhaust. HID lights. Glow dials and rings/cups. Black leather seats. Window tints. Sunroof.

When i had my mivec problem, when it did hit mivec the battery light would come up on the dash, the higher up the revs the brighter it was.. and the volts would drop from 14 slowly down to 12... that was definitely the mixture of a bad battery and terrible alternator
