If its within two weeks, I'll be pleased and surprised. GPvR has to be got going again (starter motor refurb) and the fella stripping the running gear from the GPX is heading to Silverstone at the weekend so doubt itll be done within a week. Then I've to drop it in to actually get the conversion done!

At least it's heading in the right direction and you'll surely have it in time to enjoy some of the summer (I know...)

Unbelievably delighted, the difference between manual and auto is light and day. So much less hesitant!

Loads of electrical work done on the interior, all my dials are working and lighting up again, new double DIN head unit put in, sub wired up, and best of all...Clifford alarm fitted with proximity sensors! I'll put up a video now when it stops raining.

My new Ralliart pedals arrived yesterday, and waiting on my powdercoated slam panel to arrive. Timing belt & water pump is ready to go, but I've no money to pay for the work yet!

Here we go, interior pic now.

Image

Double DIN is an Alpine W235BT. Clocks and speedo are from the GPX which has 30k kms more on them, so I'm going to have to get them wound back, or just keep the other clocks as proof if I ever decide to sell.

Alarm is this:

Finally have gotten rid of all the white dash bits and bobs (I hated it!).

The floorpan carpet is currently in the washing machine being dyed black. Will take before and after pics if it works out!

It's big job alright. Was going to do it on my brothers Aero. Got he pars from Gerry and everything, but never got round to doing it. If it was my car, it would be a job I would have to do.
