2012 O'Malley Griffin renewal increase

Postby mcgon1979 » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:39 pm

My renewal has gone up this year with Setanta via O'Malley Griffin.
2010 was 790€
2011 was 740€
I was hopeful it mighf go under 700 this year. Nope. 792€ please.
Fully comp, full protection, etc. I have 10 years ncb and full license. Over 30.
Rang Arachas. 150€ saving. Good crowd. Open drive too.

open drive eh? not bad. But who else do you want to be able to drive your car? I know i would be very selective. Or is it "drive other cars"? The policies can be confusing

interesting thread on boards last year about open drive. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthre ... 553&page=1

You can drive any other car not worth more than 70K or something like that as long as it's not in your name, with arachas.

It's dead handy actually, especially when I go to a Cars and Coffee meet and people seem to have no problem throwing me the keys to their expensive cars, even though I've only been chatting to them for 10 mins. Must have an honest face :D

Also handy if a drunk friend wants you to drive them home in their car, driving your parents car etc etc...

Aye.. Good points OI. Exactly!
I might not use Open drive, but its handy to have. and sure the policy is much cheaper so its just a bonus.
