Nice looking motors both of you!

I keep saying it but will have to go test piloting one of these days. Think the FTO is safe though.

I've no serious mod plans, the idea is to keep it well maintained.

Rax tax is 1700cc i.e. 1800cc.

Very minor at the minute, I like the stock look and drive.

Strakes, LED bulbs for indicators / parking lights, car kit, front oil cooler mesh (the stuff that Berno used in his recent facelift facelift). At some point, I'll check the plugs / leads / coil packs, its running well at the minute.

I've an annoying exhaust rattle that I reckon is being caused by loose shielding, I've already secured up the section that I suspected as being the culprit but no joy. Will drop into PN soon to get it up on the ramp and take a proper look.

Same as RX7, I wonder if we can get it down to 1300?!

Its beed done (with a bit of hassle) with some RX-7s. Becuase the 8 is more of a mass market machine, I'd say that reclassification will be a bit more difficult.

There could be a bit of metal in the exhaust if it was an aftermarket one due to the welding etc :?:

Nice car and well wear CJ.
Seeing as you mention the exhaust....I guess you are familiar with these issues but just in case

Make sure a heat shield has been installed between exhaust pipe and plastic fuel tank (particularly important on independent imports which also means ALL automatics).

Apparently, if the car is stationary for a long time with the revs running high the exhaust ports of the engine can melt, resulting in red hot molten metal shooting into the cat converter, spiking it.
