Hi Bernard

I have had these frames built using the PDF I found on the forum.

I have the exact same seats as you which I want to fit into my FTO, I have removed the original brakets but do I now need to purchase this runner to install the seats?

Thanks

You'll have to wait until Bernard comes on. Or, maybe someone else will know, but rest assured, your question will be answered. It is a Friday and for some people, that's party time :r

Berno will tell ya for sure, but I think it was customs rails he had to get made up nd had to wait a loooong time for them if I remember correctly. Worth it but leaves less head room

I didn't use those frames in the end, my mechanic made up his own.
I'll get a picture up in a bit but according to him there was no need for the full frame, just a couple of small bits.
The original rails were fine to use too, no need to buy other ones.

Stewy's right though, there's a good bit less headroom so it's a compromise alright, perhaps the frames you had made up might work out better?

Cheers Bernard

Think I may just buy 1 runner to do a trail before buying the second

I would have liked to use the original Evo runners as it would save me £140 on new ones but I guess it would give me a little more headroom

Hi sunny.

Just wondering where you got these made?
I'm trying to fit a sparco race seat into my Fto.
One of these might be a big help as it's very hard to fit regular mounts due to the limited space.
Do these allow the seat to sit flat?
Also does the seat bolt straight to them or does it still need mounts, I won't be using any adjusting rails.

The link to the PDF to make these isn't working, would anyone have a copy of it?

Cheers.

Hi Gino

I had my cousin made these as a 1 off, he works for http://stevenagesheetmetal.com/ which really helped.

I had been looking for an age for someone to build these, the work is amazing. He used Laser steel cutters and the wielding is super tidy. I do also have 1 spare recaro fitting frame with runner which you may be interested in, only one thou which I did plan to use but I needed 2.

I do have the PDF as well, post your email and I will send it over.

Hi Sunny,

Got the pdf from Bernard, but thanks anyway.
Do they allow the seat to sit flat? Also does the seat bolt straight to them or will it still need side mounts, I won't be using any sliders as i need the seat fixed.
Would your cousin fancy making another two?
