Don't think anyone on here owns a newer than 97 FTO, might be wrong though.

sorry steelroe, but ive had 4 ftos , one was a 98gpx, one 99gpvr and 2 99gpx's. am keeping one of the 99 gpxs, the other 3 were sold, they were all manuals :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

have to get it vrt'd very soon :cry:

yeh CJ, i got them direct from japan, my friend is on the lookout for a black manual ('00/'01) GPX or GPvR, i told him it must have a sunroof + aero R spoiler etc, i reckon it will be a long long wait, he's not too sure a 01 GPvR even exists :cry:

I seem to remember a link being posted that specified how many of each model were manufactured throughout the yearm must have a look around. 160 FTOs were built in 2000, I would say a very small proportion were GPvR's (FTOs stopped rolling off the production line in 2000). Al, is your mate in Japan or Ireland? I assume he does this for a living?

he's irish, but lives in japan. he's actually involved within the insurance business, but has close contacts within his company who deal with the motor export trade in japan, this will probably be the last car i bring over, if he can find one :roll:

he's been moving between the US and japan a lot lately, therefore its hard to get hold of him,
