Audi S3

Had a proper drive in a chipped S3 yesterday morning - it's a proper quick car. Chipped to 250bhp and it's extremely swift. Amazing build and felt rock solid on the road - made the golf feel a bit flimsy to be honest.....

Quick little machine that looks like a Golf ;)

If you're looking for a fast car in the compact class, you could do worse than pick up an S3.

yea, I've been looking into these for a few weeks now - 4wd, 225bhp and a subtle appearance... expensive though!

They're a slick enthusiast's car for sure, although only a car nut would recognise this. This is the hidden beauty of S3, S4 etc. - you gotta be into cars to even realise that these guys have something special, as the differences between bog std are subtle.

I saw a really sweet sky blue one around Dublin once that had a fantastic reg plate listed as 01D10101. Reads '85' right - any computer geeks out there

Have some manners, don't mix your binary and hexidecimal!

I would seriously consider an S3 - I'm looking for something at the moment that can take a few miles as I don't want to put up big mileage on the FTO and I the S3 is certainly on my hit list - only negative would be value for money.

So you must be thinking of keeping the FTO as a weekend/summer car... I'd love to have the chance to run an FTO as a 2nd weekend car :(

Yea, they are pretty expensive alright - it's hard to justify the outlay especially when it's so subtle looking - oh the irony of it all.....
