Ubuntu driver/longshot

Postby Muad_dib77 » Thu Nov 06, 2008 12:01 am

Hey guys - this is a REAL longshot...

but -

I've taken to running ubuntu on my laptop - and it's generally fantabulous - I love it! Sadly though most drivers are included in the standard installation some hardware devices are still too odd/unique to have the drivers included..

I'm looking for a driver for the behringer b-control range (bcd 3000) - if anybody knows of somewhere I might be able to find/ask about it and info would be massively appreciated..

thanks.

All I'll say is good luck rebuilding the kernel!

There must be a forum where both audiophiles and linux geeks hang out?

What are you trying to do, midi or just use it as a general controller?

afaik the device itself uses midi as it's protocol - I was doing a spot of research last night but can't seem to find much info.

as I was hoping to get it working by tomorrow evening - I might just stick xp on there as well - I have a feeling that'll be a simpler option..
