Radio, front wipers, horn, wing mirror adjustement not worki

Postby speedy » Thu Dec 30, 2004 7:39 pm

Hi

Radio, front wipers, horn, wing mirror adjustement not working after jump started car, battery went flat.
Checked all fuses in footwell all OK
Checked fuses and fusible link in engine bay all OK.

What are the brown connectors in engine bay fusebox? Have not checked these yet.

Need help on this as I cant drive the car in the rain.

Cheers

Did you have your lights switched on when jump starting? (helps disipate any excess load). Its interesting that all the componant fuses are based in the interior fuse box. Have you tried swapping fuses around? IIRC the brown connectors that you're referring to are relays, you'd need to swap in a set off another FTO to determine if this is part of the problem. Worse case scenario, bring the car down to an autoelectrician, they should be able to diagnose the problem simply enough. If all the fuses are OK then its possible that a wire has burnt through somewhere.

Got it sorted.
Intermitted connection at the ignition switch.
Don't ask me how this happened.
