Thank You Kace, i apprieciate that!
Its called brake master cylinder servo i think that whats it called, you can see it on my later pics of engine bay but its red now

Slowly preparing the engine to be fitted and a couple of days ago painted the block and manifold:

Image

Rust treating the block:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Cleaned the intake manifold:

Image

Mivec 1.6 injectors and fuel pressure regulator:

Image

Project is now suspended!!!!

literally haha

Image

Image

Need to do the oil return, quite small job but how important

Image

Image

To make work easier and to see what im doing ive turned the engine up side down and took the oil pan off:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Bolted the oil return pipe to get the bolts welded straight:

Image

Image

Lets have some fun so......

Image

Image

Image

Haha.

more practice more fun

Image

Image

Viola!!!

Image

Now the bigger hole, starting with smaller diameter........

Image

And done.

Image

Uber cool!

Image

Image

Need to fabricate some type of bracket supporting exhaust manifold and the turbo charger as its quite heavy with adapter plate and all:

Looking carefully in to the sky all day i managed to calculate how much time i will get between the showers

Image

and it worked out that taking in to the account distance measured between the clouds and the edge of clear blue sky looking at it at 49 deegree angle, considering the clouds level height of 2500m i got 21 minutes 39 seconds atill next one to fitt the engine so i had to do my moves!

Its in lol

Image

Image

Ive changed my mind on flywheel and clutch set up.....
So im running another hybrid set up, bigger diameter disc
and pressure plate from diffrent clutch kit.

Image

Image

Image

Also primed the clutch fork and i'll paint it later when box is on.

Image

This picture i call ghost fork ;)

Image

More bits getting painted:

Image

But best thing about today is that ive the gearbox fitted :)

Image

Image

Good stuff!!!

A few pics from building the gearbox for the project;

From the very begining....

Image

Image

Image

To the very end...

Image

And finished product :)

It getting changed to 1.3 Adam, part of the plan.

Gearbox mount, part of the intake system, windscreen washer bottle, intercooler, intercooler piping fitted.

Im using colt radiator so had to drop it about 20-25 mm lower as its taller than fto rad.

And again thanks Sebastian ;)

more of "Sebski mid coast customs"

As the turbo actuator no longer sits on turbo (it will be rather fitted to the gearbox mount bracket :) ) the rod controling wastegate has to be extended so i bought some hardware today to complete the job:

Image

A few minutes later;

Image

Obviously i need to cut the treaded bar to lenght tomorrow ;)

Both ends now;

Image

Image

Also bought oil filter today, no pics for that as its fecking blueprint :(

Car on the wheels as mentioned:

Image

Tomorrow i need to fit the crossmember, finish welding the inter cooler piping, fit turbo actuator (need to make some custom bracket for it) fit radiator brackets and other bits and pieces whatever time aloud for.
Also need to look in to front exit flat back box workz as i want the exhaust to be at the front of the car ( this will be fun :) )

Turbo to intercooler piping done, just need to derust it and paint. Tested to 0.4 bar so should take 0.6 no bother. Sebski customs in action again haha.

Some pics:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Was hoping i will have the turbo actuator bracket done too, but maybe tomorrow after work i will.

Sunday 02/11:

Crossmember fitted, as the rad is 20mm lower the crossmember needed to be dropped at the front by about that much too :(

Found best spot for the actuator and ive cut the treaded bar to the lenght.

Also ive start making the exhaust from scratch,

Image

first off the nct version has to be done and then the extreme version that will have only one silencer on the front of the car.

Update.

Turbo actuator fitted.
Oil return pipe sealed.
Exhaust manifold gasket fitted.
Oil and oil filter done.
Gearbox filled with fresh oil.
Reverse switch fitted.
Throttle body cleaned and fitted.
Fuel supply and return to fuel rail fitted, fuel rail bolts tightened, fuel supply line bolts tightened.
Cross member tightened.
Water hoses to matrix fitted.
Pipe from intake manifold-turbo actuator fitted.
Clutch slave cylinder fitted.
Second bracket holding turbo fitted.
Exhaust and intake manifolds tightened.
Distributor and H/T leads fitted, need to set the ignition timing.

Boost gauge ordered.
Boost controller ordered.

Still remaining to do:

Paint intercooler piping and fit it.
Fit all water hoses, fit radiator properly, fill the radiator with coolant.
Tighten odd bolts here and there.
Fit engine loom.
Fit boost gauge.
Finish making exhaust.

Will try to fit engine loom before work tomorrow and start the car, maybe do some fresh pics of the engine bay too.

May be a silly question but why setup 1 ? Looks better yes but no 2 looks way less restrictive intake wise ??

Define restrictive in terms of small engine tiny throttle body bore and intake manifold runners and small turbo..... haha
Its turbo set up Gary, not our usual mivec world where less restriction mean better.
Hard piping much better for this application, it will help a lot as theres a lot of piping and intercooler to fill with air before it will reach intake manifold

It should be ready but im not bringing it to the meet unless she has enginer report done and be taxed as 1.3
Shes driveable yet, just need to bleed the brakes finish the intercooler piping and interior, exhaust etc.

So hold on - am I correct in saying that you have removed a 2.0 Mivec engine from this car originally and you are planning to install a 1.3l Turbocharged unit in there now ?

Nice one - so how will the performance of the 1.3 Turbo compare to the original engine in terms of horsepower, torque and 0-60 times ?
Also I presume that you won't have Mivec on this one - or am I wrong here. Sounds like a really interesting setup.

Hard to say what the performance will be.
Round 110-130 hp is what im expecting, but im also hoping for some good torque gains, yes there will be no mivec on this engine.
Compare to the orginal engine it will be slow i think but should still be fun to drive as it weights less now (round or under a tone) has gearbox with 4.6 final drive, bigger clutch set up, should be fun ;)

Update:

Intercooler piping now fitted.

dont see why you didnt just go with the 2.5 twin turbo engine from the leggy. when you were going all the work. you had 200bhp std engine in mivec and the 2.5 v6 twin would give you 280bhp std and can go way up from there.

but have to say loving the amount of work and time going into it. started 2.5 v6 turbo mod myself but , things went bad and had to stop.

what turbo are you using ? might be able to make it bigger for you if you wanted .

the 2 turbos i have there 49131-04100 and other are already hybird for some that never came back.

as for what spec. i can make any td03 compressor wheel that as the same Exducer Diameter to suit your seal plate fit. we would just mod the compressor cover to take a bigger Inducer Diameter to increase air pressure .

exducer is bottom dia
inducer is top dia

I see what you mean now, what would i gain from upgrading the compressor wheel and what are the down sides considering i will be running 0.4-0.6 bar on the stock 1.3 12v 4g13 with stock lancer gsr intercooler?
All that in comparation to one stock td03 from legnum vr4.

sorry. if your using a non turbo engine. best not to fit hybrid. to much pressure for the engine .
