Would have liked to go up, but didn't make it after. Keeping a close eye on proceedings though. Pity the night stages were cancelled tonight!

Looking like it's going to be more of the same as last year so far, just more Citroens on the road and no jap car manufacturers left.

There at the moment. On hotel wifi, no channels with the highlights on it though. Morning stages very very wet this morning, evening stages good, especially through the village slalom. Big change from a few years ago though, when you had subaru, evo´s, peugeot, ford, and about 4 other manufacturers bidding, now it just seems to be C4´s and focus with the odd junior thrown in there. Tomorrow should be another good day too, hitting the second and the 6th stages tomorrow.

Highlights on RTE2 for this rally, although there's more talking than rallying.

What's the organisation like? Are the facilities & traffic ok or are you talking about being there at a stage at 5 in the morning? The lads with the helicopters have the right idea I think!

Parking is no bother, you can be at a stage about an hour or less before hand and still get a good space at the ditch and not be walking that far. Take this morning for instance, first cars were starting the stage at 09.06, we arrived at the stage 40 mins beforehand and still got a great view. Think the weather is deterring a lot of people, and the fact that only about the first 10 - 15 cars are WRC so they´ve passed in about 20 mins. Still though, its good to watch.

piss poor turnout for Rally Ireland this year! Entrants and spectators
Is WRC on the way down? I went to first Rally Ireland, special stage at Stormont. Grand stand seats wre crap as stand was too close to road forcing everyone to stand up as the car passed below us. good view of the jump though.
Lurgan park rally is the best for spectators as you can move around the park between stages viewing the rally from multiple vantage points during the course of the day, even access to the service area.
A good event to introduce the younger ones to the joys of rallying.
