Unlocking and jailbreaking an iphone 3G S

Postby karlf » Mon Feb 22, 2010 7:52 pm

Anyone done this? I bought one and was told its easy to do by watching "how to" videos on youtube. I tried that but I haven't a clue which one works for the iphone 3g S I have. I dont know if I have firmware 3.0.x so its double dutch to me. I assume I have the latest version of the 3g S as I only got it on yesterday. Anyone know where to download the right stuff and how to do it?

I did that and still it wont work. I got that and cydia onto my phone but then it went into recovery mode and never came back on. So I went onto itunes and restored it. I think it doesnt work because I set up the phone and updated it through i-tunes, think they have a way of blocking it some how. I restored the settings to the original but it still wont work. I read a bit about resetting the firmware to 2.0 but I cant figure out how to do that. I'm lost, think I'll leave it into one of those shops that do it and see if they can sort it.
