If you had 2K lying around

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Mon May 28, 2012 1:25 pm

Well we've had the "If you had 20K lying around" thread - now for the recession version.

So what sports car would you buy for 2K cash? Link to Ads if possible.

For me, it would have to be a Mazda RX-7 FB from the early 80s, they don't come up for sale much in this country, example ad.

no ftos  i will have to think about this.

OK, after a quick think and look, I came up with 2 options. The first is a bmw 316/318 00(ish), because I love those cars. STylish and practical. http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3343569

EDIT: I posted the same link twice.

The second would be purely work work/advertising purposes. http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3388055

If that's what qualifies as a sports car in your eyes you must really have been delighted with the GPX?

hehe. Well...what was I gonna pick? A celica? :nwor

Actually, I would love to have one of those 50cc small cars that are so popular in europe. I had a quick go in one when I was in Spain and it was great craic. The moped engine noise was a little annoying, but it was a cool little thing and had reverse gear too :)

What sucks is that over here, it would be more difficult to insure than an fto. They are classed as mopeds on the mainland and can be driven on a moped licence too of course.

I wouldn't rule one out actually, particularly a GT-Four:

Was gonna start a new thread until I saw this one I had already posted in. If I had 2k lying around to spend on a car, it would be the Toyota MR2 T-bar 1994 with magical doors :) AND it has the same Kahn alloys I have on my FTO !!! Sweet.

If I had space in my garden I would probably buy that right now. I hate being tempted like this, If I had of know the prices these cars would be going for these days I would have bought a house with a much bigger Driveway.
