OK...it's decided. I am going spoiler less. I will be getting an OE spoiler sprayed, just in case I ever change my mind and want a spoiler put on, or if i EVER sell the car, the new owner will have the option. I have ordered apex lowering springs and new drilled and grooved rear brake discs from camskill. the d/side brake disc has strange rings all over it and it annoys me to look at. I am heading into the workshop to get quoted on all the work I want done.

Workshop is waiting til Monday. Have ordered me a Quikshift induction kit and some blue under body lights too.

What is need to properly clean the engine bay? The air intake in particular.....I see some real clean ones, but wonder if it's just paint. Mine is not scruffy, but I would like to get it show room clean.

Apex springs and rear drilled & grooved discs arrived in post :)

Debating if I should put them on myself, or leave it to the garage that will be painting the car as well as doing a few other bits and bobs.

Oh and |I was at the garage in Walkinstown and there was a celica getting some work done on it. The guy pointed out the off-white and black leatherette seats in the car, with embroidered door cards..... and then pointed out that his mother made the seat retrims herself. It was a great job and I am sorry I didn't take any photos, but it was just a celica

Looks very well indeed - if that FTO needed one thing it was a set of Apex springs.
Get some more pics up.

Will get some more pics up when I get the rest of the work done on the car. When that's all done, so am I. Then it will be just maintenance really. I hope...

I put the induction kit in. Was pretty simple, apart from the squeeze I had putting the cold air feed in. I will be putting blue silicone hoses in later, but I want to order a full dress up kit while i'm at it. I think I will go the route of covering the existing hoses, rather than replacing them, as it will be too much hassle otherwise. I also like the bulkier look given when hoses are covered. Only exception will be the washer hoses.

I just tested the induction system and it sounds sweet. I could hear the air being sucked in. Will be test driving shortly. Some pics for now.

Did you remove the base of the original air filter which is screwed down to the chassis.
Looks a little weird in the pics. Might be just me!

Any chance of a pic of the bumper with the feed or is it even visible/noticeable?

The instruction was to run the feed into the existing feed, so I just stuffed it into the hole from above. The suggestion was to insert from underneath, but I found it easier to feed in from above, rather than getting under the bumper. The new feed is just aimed toward the new filter, where the old filter sat over the vertical feed. You cant's see the feed unless you look into the engine bay.

What size are the centre caps Goz? Looking at getting some of the caps (not just the decals) but there seems to be a few mm variation. What size did you get?

So today I wanted to get prices on Quad exhaust. The same name (Souhan from Trim, Meath) kept popping up. I rang them. They couldn't quote over the phone, because the fto was showing as an unknown vehicle (or so they said). Decided to make the trip to get them to have a look at it and quote me. 3 hours and €290 later, the results are below.

Very nice, I plan on bringing the VR there to get the same thing done after a friend of mine got his Alfa Spyder done by them!

How far up the system did they go?
