Thanks Viper :)

Not strictly true on the free drinks front mind you, Paypal took €9.15 in charges which brings the total to €202.85, thats just €4.15 short of the actual fee so no free drink for me!

CJ,
I guess the domain charges for '06 were paid back in Feb. How's the kitty doing for '06? Were these costs covered?

Costs wern't covered for '06, I footed the bill myself. I didn't really push for donations this year to be honest, I'd rather leave it up to the individual member to decide. IIRC, theres 40 euro in the kitty towards the next renewel.

Just to reiterate, if this site has saved or made you money over the past year, consider donating a small amount to the hosting fund, click on the link below for more info:

There's no harm in reminding people. It still remains that you are out of pocket for the '06 sub.
I for one rarely, if ever look at the main page -go straight to the forum instead. So the donations link is not something I'd see unless I went looking for it.....
A simple reminder on this thread each year when payment falls due would go a long way....

I tell a lie, there was 20 euro donated towards last years fees, total was 207 euro IIRC.

Only after seeing this thread  .

I dont have a paypal account so if you want to PM me your address I'll post a cheque of €30 - Should cover last year and this year and then the good few times I used this site before registering.

Its a brillant site and has been very helpful to me so would gladly like to help to keep it up and running and that and the fact you shouldnt have to foot the bill yourself.

Many thanks to those of you who have donated recently and throughout the year. The FTO-Ireland balance sheet for 2007 currently stands at 142 euro in credit, hosting charges cost 207 euro per year and are due soon. You can find out more at the link below if you wish to donate a couple of euro towards the fund:

Thanks

Not a bad idea Rory, I'll verify pricing and post it up details.

EDIT: Total costs are €207, so say €200 for arguments sake.

A tenner from 20 people perhaps?

have you considered getting funding from Quinn or Hibernian, St. Pauls etc...they'd pay through the nose for a banner on here.

Also, if you were to set up a FTO-Ireland bank account where people could lodge directly (only suggesting as I don't have a paypal), might go some way towards reducing the cost of merchandise (even though it's an external link)

One of the things i like about the site is that there isn't any adverts pop-up or otherwise maybe i'm the only one i don't know :smt017 but obviously if we need the money to keep us going that would be cj's call

Hosting renewel time has come around again, the best way of helping in this regard is to purchase FTO Ireland merchandise from our club store (link at the top of the page), a portion of each sale goes towards the hosting fund. Alternatively, you can contribute directly by clicking on the Paypal link at the bottom of the screen, either way, you'll be helping to keep the community alive.

Thanks
