Inner CV Boot

Postby Dave1971 » Wed Oct 06, 2010 7:30 pm

One of the inner CV boots has split, does anybody have any tips in removing the drive shaft and replacing the split boot. I really don`t want to empty the gear box as i plan just to lift the car on the one side.

I did mine over the weekend. There no need to empty the gearbox. Just take out the drive shaft and leave the inner cuppling in the gearbox.

Working on this at the moment, have the drive shaft out with the end bit still stuck in the box. Trying to work out how the spider assembly comes off. Any tips?
