I was looking into the karting, tried ringing numerous times but couldnt get through for some reason, will keep trying nonetheless! One of the lads from work looked into it before and for a grand prix you need 14 people, theres also the standard 15 mins, 30 mins, all that stuff. I presume if we had numbers the grand prix is the way to go but it doesnt look like we'll have numbers for that.

Shane are the chips gone off the road cause there was a few dodgy corners the last time I drove it a few weeks ago?

The first day, was thinking maybe around 11 or 12, meet in cork first and do the karting, would break up the long drive for anyone thats travelling a bit of a distance.

Well you'd still make the trip to the wesht I'd say afterwards would you? By the time karting is done, winner crowned, gloating and excuses over, you'd prob reach us while we're having a bite to eat.

Presume you're talking about the (new & improved) road down from the tunnel - if so - road chips are well bedded in and should be even more so by the time this weekend comes around.

I don't think we really need to do the Karting TBH - there will be more than enough driving and sightseeing to be done on the Saturday. Maybe have a starting point of Killarney on the Saturday (might be easier for the majority of peeps to get to) and take the over mountain route to Kenmare then across the tunnel road to Glengariff and follow the ring of Beara to Castletownbere and onto the accomadation.

Its a VERY senic route with some excellent places for photos but overall shouldn't take more than 2hours (not including stops).
I would suggest a starting time in Killarney of around 1pm on the Saturday to give people time to make the trip down.

Just a suggestion really - I'm happy to row in with what the majority of peeps want.

No shortage of accomadation at the moment guys. Just kinda need to finalise this week.

Is that a single or double Misterbishi?
I think I'll be putting all the singletons into the bachelor pad out the back of the pub! (comes with widescreen TV and a fridge to keep yere beer cool).

No problem meeting in Killarney no. Would make it quicker for lads (and ladies) all right. But if we do the ring of Beara I would like to get the FTOs (& friends) going up the Healy Pass too, and by doing the ring coming down the tunnel we'd miss it. Could we do it that on the second day or something?

Not neccessarlily MJ - The route we'd follow would be Killarney to Kenmare - then over the mountains on the N71 (through the tunnels) to Glengariff and then back over the Healy Pass route - R574 - into Lauragh (where we're staying).

Yeah sure stick me down for the overnight too. All this is depending on my FTO being in working condition in time...

Oh right, when you said the ring I thought you meant all the ways to Allihies and back over the back road to Kenmare. Thats grand so.

@ chris - Ya I'd say kartings out. We'll arrange to meet somewhere in cork first and go to killarney to meet the rest. You can meet me in Ballincollig, and I presume we'll pick up Adam around Macroom somewhere?

Lissarda Garage would be grand for me, failing that, just past the amenity site on the kilarney side of Macroom town!
