The Irish Mitsubishi FTO Owners Club

The club is 10 years old next year and we need a good big birthday bash meet anyone with ideas for 1 post it here and when we get a few we might get a poll going.

Ferry to france and drive down the coast!

I would be up for a ferry trip, but as it's the Ireland club, it only makes sense to keep it in Ireland. Aside from a meet, I reckon if we all put the website address on our back window. It would increase the membership of the site and club cars being sold might bring the new owners into the club.

If we can't get anyone to come to a meet, we certainly won't be getting anyone to come to France!

It all depends on what the plan in France would be

There's a few things we can do
We had good craic @ Todds Leap
and Karting @ PAllas is always great fun

It has to be an overnighter and to include a good scenic drive .

oooh. i vote paintball. there are always deals online for that. A good paintballing day need €80-€100 for ammo, unless we have a few scroungers...i mean..snipers.

I've driven it, not a huge rush back due to the expense!

This is true but the Nürburgring is the Nürburgring

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed on this forum and I'm slightly de-railing the thread now.

The Nürburgring is heavily in debt due to it's last 2 'owners'. They built a theme park, expanded the hotel and built an event arena to the cost of 400 million. As a result prices will be going up. Also day bookers may be forced to pay for a hotel room as part of the package which will further increase the cost. Worst of all the ring may eventually be closed to the public. As the ring makes more money from car manufacturers as it's all about how fast your car goes around the ring these days.

The ring filed for bankruptcy and now is back in safer hands. I haven't been able to find anything definitive on the net but costs will probably increase.

On a serious note, that sucks. Looks like over pricing rather than over ambition killed it.

Don't mind them Seb, they're only jealous cos you can't fit the golf clubs in the back of an FTO with a rear strut brace!
