Rear end drift problem

Postby Blue_fto » Fri Feb 13, 2004 1:30 am

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction (excuse pun) with problem when going round right hand bends mostly. The back end starts to drift out & it seems like you have a flat tyre. The rear droplinks were changed 6 months ago & this helped slightly but something is still amiss.

Are you running the correct wheel\tyre size combo? I find the FTO tends to step out at the rear quite a bit, but thats probably just my driving style ;)

Yes the standard FTO alloys & tyres.

The thing is it never used to do it but started just over 6 months ago.

It would be worthwhile having a 4 wheel laser alignment check done, the mechanic can also have a good look at the suspension for sign of worn bushes or the like when the car is up on the ramp.
