They give out quite a lot of info, I'm at odds to understand how they're making money, I can't see how the advesrtising pays the bills. Is flagging an imported car as 'amber' is necessarily a good thing? Not IMO.

The likes of Cartell and Motorcheck may lose a bit of business to these guys...

just checked the GPvR it says tax out since july but its taxed till november must not update very often

Theres talk that some of the info coming back from the site is incorrect. For the craic, I checked my neighbours car, his car is NCTed up until next year but the site says its out of date.

Grace just noticed that her engine number only gives k20a, and it gives the model of the car as just 'DC5', on another girl she knows with a Type R DC5 that she checked her info and it gave the full engine number and called it up as 'Type R DC5', so it seems to even vary even between different owners.
Under mine it gives the type as DE3A, anyone else have this coming up just below where it says FTO? It gives my full engine number all right though.

I think its gas looking at the comparison of new vehicles and imported vehicles in the differeny counties. Look at the amount of imports in Denogel for instance compared to its new cars, theres about a quarter new cars as imports. MAkes sense that the border counties would be higher in the import stakes.

I'd imagine a lot of people in border counties could also have UK adresses and bank accounts and therefore could qualify for VRT exemption.

It was (still is) common practice for main franchised dealers in border counties to source new cars from the UK dealers rather than ROI distributors , these cars also count as imports.
