I think it turned out rather well actually - the new rims will certainly help. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
Possibly needed to mould in the front of the DC skirt and also resite the side indicators - however its easy to be a critic - all in all I actually quite like it. You should perhaps consider spacers on the Evo rims - this will also help with your rubbing issues and will add to the phat stance.

Thanks a million guys :-) and Shane - Critism is alright - I dont mind it, everybody has different tastest..at first I was upset the the sideskirts hadn't been blended into the body..Now I kinda like the extra little shape..also unintentionally I think the front on the skirts echo the shape of the "vent" (the vent isn't a vent as there's no opening - didn't facy mud and rocks being slung all over the car damaging the new paint, so left it closed)

No sure where else the indicators would go..played around with them a little bit and it was the only place it sort of look right I think - I'm not likely to change it anyways :-)

Dave - the color is REALLY odd it looks totally different in daylight than it did under the striplights. and yoou're right there's definately something up with Imageshack..uploading those pics too the best part of last night..mind you the pics are 3mb-ish each.. It's a fair bit darker than the Steel Silver, I was going for something near black but as it often is paint looks different when it's on the thing you're painting...this one though turned out quite alright..

I got another two this morning just to get the colour across a bit better..

Car is all wet though.. BAH..

I like but would like to see some pics that:

1. Are not taken at night time
2. Show more than just the boot in day time

;)

Cj -> I know... I was 15 min late for work already :-) just did the two on my phone...

If only the sun would shine a little bit as well - paint comes alive with a bit of light...

I've lost the little slip I had it written on..so I have to call yer man and ask him... I do remember that it's a FIAT color!
I picked a "standard" color incase I had to have something redone at a later stage...

Very nice alright - I'm a big fan of that gunmetal type colour. One additional mods would set it off even better - blended red rear clusters (getting rid of that 90s orange indicator look).

Those exhausts are massive too - must be some noise off them

I tinted mine last night by black tinting film. Looks class and you can always take it off if you bored or decide to go red.
The job is quick and easywith very good effects 8)
I`ll post some pictures when i get home today.

Have this film at home if you decide to use it.

You put tinting film on your Tail-lights? I would never have thought of that... What happens when they get wet?

This is special film for tinting tail-lghts. You can use it for indicators as well but not for windows. It`s to thick and doesn`t have "100% clear" transparency.
If you get the pics from Limerick 2007 I also had my lights tinted on my silver FTO. Was parked beside Colm`s at the end. I even passed NCT with this film on it, so I can say it`s road legal :)
Here are soe pics of what I`ve done few days ago:

wow that looks rather good actually...I do prefer it without the cutout in the middle tho..

so where is this available & do you know if they do different colors? Did it take you long to apply..attempted tinting a window once and after mucking about for bit over an hour I said fup it and binned it.. I not the most patient person when it comes to fiddly stuff..

There`s no cutout in the middle :D it`s reflective light just look bit different onswiched on tinted lights.

I bought it in Poland for my car. I bought a bit more (10m x 1m) thinking that some of you guys might be interested in this as I didn`t find anything like this in Ireland or eBay.
It`s all black so I could supply only black at the moment, but red, blue and green is also available. I could get other colors if there`s interest for minimum 5 sets of lights coz postage isn`t cheapest.
You have to spend about 30 mins on 1 light to have it done correctly but it`s realy easy process as it`s a simply "sticker"... not like windows tinting. It becomes very plastic under heat treatment. It`s very helpful on some difficult shapes. FTO lights are very simple to do tho...

So anyway I intend to sell it on eBay for about 12-13 euro or directly to club members for 10. There will be a piece big enough to cover 2 lights and side indicators. If someone is interested just let me know :)
:)

Happy Halloween :smt077

235/45/r17 is too big if you're on Apex springs..

Image

Im unable to fit my hand in the gap between tyre and wing (at the top).. it has addressed the severe scraping of the front bumper..I only scraped it off the n2 once on the way to work and that was due to a rather severe dip (think inverse speed bump).

Sadly I'm thinking coil-overs - I need stiffer suspension and Higher clearance.

Question is - would it be cheaper to get a speedbozz bumper along with spraying and fitting...gah..

Wow it is seriously low all right, are those rims 17"? They look smaller or is that because of the kit?
The more I see those little vents and the triangular side repeaters the more I think how class they are! Really nice. And the vents are very unique.

Thanks :-)

Yup they're 17s - only have them on the front as I'm short a tyre and I didn't know if I was getting one 45profile or 2x 40 profile rubbers.

Vents are left closed Í didn't want to muck up the side of the car more than normally.. the glassfibre wings were absolutely terrible, so the vents were the only bits used and they're literally bonded in place. I really like em too..well happy I had it done..
Having said that If I see a pair of CF wings I might just replace them :-)

Here's a bit of a vid a mate recorded - apologies for the creepy "smile"..

If it's any help, this is the kind of clearance I'm getting with teins and 40's.

Beautiful!

I don't know where you live but I'll probably head out to Ardee tonight and start driving in ever expanding circles and if you wake up in the morning and the car's gone well... it wasn't me

Any chance of a few more snaps with the new wheels?
