NCT passed eventually!

On the 4th attempt I got it! My brand new cat and replacement lambda and TPS did the trick!

Engine Oil Temp 67*c

Low Idle: CO 0.13 % (under 0.5%)
HC 0%

High Idle CO 0.09%
HC 110 ppm (under 200ppm allowed)

Lambda 0.997 (betwen 0.97and 1.03 allowed)

Thrilled doesn't begin to explain the feeling! At one point there was 3 NCT mechanics looking under the hood. I was worried that there maybe a problem because I had only reset the ECU a few hours beforehand. 2 of them came in then asking about the FTO engine. One of them said he'd never seen a 24v in an FTO! But anyway, it passed! I hate the way thy backdate he NCT though. It makes no sense. But I'm still good until 01/2011! Happy days...

I got the high flow one from Camskill which they claim does the job of a normal cat without the performance decreasing issues. I undertood it as the cat wouldnt affect my performance. I wasnt planning on taing it off the car TBH, i dont have a decat either.

Excellent Chris! Good stuff! You were close to be on the minimum figures there!
I had the same experience with NCT guys in Blarney, thought they were after finding something and they were just looking at the engine and listening to the exhaust note. Had the fright of god put into me!
