No Aircon??? And no Sunroof??? That's a hot ride. Just so prospective buyers know.....Do you have the aircon unit you removed? Also did you remove the aircon controls? No interior pics. Looks interesting without the spoiler. I have one spare if u want. No charge. Silver A34

Just a bit of advice and its entirely my personal opinion but id suggest removing the side on picture you have up on carzone. If you want a side on picture take it standing a bit further away, a bit to the rear of the car and level on, not from above. Personally i think the car looks horrendous looking down perfectly side on.

Maybe bogins got those issues sorted out as its gone up at €1,600 and he says in the ad "This car needs for nothing, a cherished example!" mmmmm :?

It's not bogins selling it. Username is wolfy, and is Lucan-based. Bogins is Dun Laoghaire from a quick scan of his posts. Also, his most recent post is '900 euro ono'. Another seller trying to make a profit I think.

Hi all

Just thought I would fill you all in on why I'm selling etc

Bought the Car for 700euro

Bought new tyres all round as I was unhappy with the brand that was on there. 280euro

Carried out a full and very comprehensive service replacing quite a few bits 190euro, did the work my self.

Meticulously detailed 0euro just 5 hours hard graft!

There is more..... Totals circa 1200euro

So will I be making a quick buck? I dought the very much in deed! As I expect any interested parties to make an offer!

I really don't want to have to sell, but I bought this for my girlfriend to replace her 1.7 Puma, but she has taken a job that is mote than twice her previous commute, so we have decided to stick with the smaller car.

I hope this helps

J

That's fair enough. Hope you get what you're looking for it, but I think your figure may be a little optimistic!

+1

I have put over 5k into my 97 gpx manual (not including the €1600 paid for it) and I wouldn't expect to get half that, but there's no harm in asking. Look at the GR above my bro has on done deal. I Bought for €850 in August I think. Spent circa 2k on it. Was driven for maybe 1k in the time I had it and has been sitting up since October, getting extras added to it all the time. Asking for only €1300. It is frustrating that so much effort and money going into a car like the fto adds almost no sale value to it.

You seem to have gotten some great bargains there.
€70 17" tyres that are better than nankangs, I'd expect to pay double that for good tyres.
€190 for parts for a very comprehensive service? I presume you're not talking about timing belts or water pumps for that?

And detailed in 5 hours, I'm in the wrong game.
It took two days to do my car.

I looked at this back when Boggins had it in Bray a few months back.
I'm not being a d**k here but there was more than a full service needed on it when i looked at it. I'll happily withdraw this next statement if I'm proven wrong and i hope I am but I think someone bought this and didn't expect so much work needing to be done to it...

When did you look at it? I don't see much wrong with Bogins pricing when he was selling really.

Around the end of February I think.
Nothing wrong with his price, for a manual Mivec his price was fairly reflected. Personally I felt there was an awful lot needing repairing/replacing to it to get it to an acceptable standard.
