yep, down my part of the country we're seeing major improvemets, Limerick to Ennis Mway, bypass for Limerick, rail link from Ennis to Galway. Mway Galway to Dublin, Mway from Limerick to Dublin nearly there.

It's your local council that are responsible for your B roads and what not so appeal them about your bad roads and they might come and temporarily fix it and then resurface in a few months. Some of the roads around where I live suffered major damage after the rain before the new year and then the snow and ice compounded the problems. Some are REALLY bad.
