Just knowing my luck, with the event on tomorrow I knew something was going to happen and sure enough a motorbike crashed into the side of my car, I was waiting to make a left turn out of the gate at work, clear on all sides so I make my turn and hear a bang of metal as I finish my monuver. I was like ah FFS what the hell just happened. With the sound of scrapping metal I did not want to see the damage, I went to pull over and get out of the car to make sure everyone was alright and the fecker on the motorbike just jumps back on his bike and drives away in the opposite direction. All I can think of was he saw me pulling out and assumed I was going right(even though I was in the left lane with my indicators on) and he booted it down to make the turn with me, when he realised he had made a mistake it was too late, Luck for me the alloy took all the damage and the paintwork is still alright. The alloy has a few nasty scraps be it could have been worse.

We're booked in for 10am, I confirmed this and the list of attendees with them this morning.
I understand Kace will be arriving later, he's said that from day one but can the rest of ye try to make it for 10 please.

Another good club meet, even though it was a smaller turn out than hoped. We had me, Chris, Bernard, Joe and the fashionably late Kace. After the testing, we had some McD's and off home. I will let Bernard post the results and video of the day. Surprisingly good figures, considering the ages of the cars, mine being the oldest too.

Great to put some faces to the names. As I suspected I'm probably a little short on power trying to keep up with Bernard on the way back, but given his results I wouldn't be complaining... :D

Nice vid Bernard.

Figures to note here are your at the wheel hp (what hp reaches the road).
117.5bhp (what engine/transmission - looks like a GX tip?)
152.1bhp from Goz and 153.5 from Bernard (both mivec manuals).

Just to compare btw - my (ex) 95 mivec manual made 164.1bhp (best figure of the day) at the wheels on its visit to Westward - mostly I suspect from having had the air con removed (less load on engine).

Whats most interesting about the dyno charts is that Gozs FTO finds peak power at 7400rpm before petering out while Bernards gets peak power at 7800rpm and is showing pushing past 8000rpm??

Mine is still restricted :(

The tester said my bhp would have been higher otherwise.

Sure that was a hundred years ago and with old tech, you need to compare like with like
