Postby gino » Tue Oct 11, 2005 1:35 am

Hi Guys,
I’m afraid the time has come, I have to sell my pride and joy, I really don’t want to do it and will be very sad to see her go, but a new house and practicality is forcing me.
So here goes,

FTO GPX 1995,
Steel silver,
Manual gearbox,
94k miles,
NCT 05-07,
Taxed 02-06,
Timing belt, pulley, tensionier, and ps, alt, ac belts done by Paul Nolan at 86k,
HKS super dragger exhaust,
Denso iridium sparkplugs,
Lowered on chassis dynamics springs,
New EBC brake pads, to be fitted this weekend,
Gizzmo phenolic thermal inlet gasket,
Dunlop SP2000 tyres,
White chrome rim dials with variable colour and intensity,
Carbon fibre centre console surround,
Aluminium pedals and footrest,
New wipers,
New battery aug 05,
Fuel filter, gearbox oil and brake fluid all changed,
Pioneer CD player,
Cobra alarm and immob, sunroof, rear wiper, tinted rear windows, e/m, climate control, also oil and filter changed.
Asking price, 8000 ovno,

Will post pics later in the week, but in advance the ITG filter, steering wheel, gearknob and mats are not going with the car.
Please pm me with any questions or ring on 086 1012157.
Thanks Gino.

Sounds like you've plenty of extra's but 8K for a 95 Car with 90 + K miles seems excessive don't you think? Look forward to seeing the pictures all the same

I'll come to the defence of the 95 Manual GPX by saying that you probably could buy a bog standard 95 GPX manual for 7.5K but you won't get many with a HKS exhaust, Denso's, Lowering springs, EBC pads plus various cosmetic interior mods with a recent service that inc 3 belts, engine, gearbox and brake fluids all changed.

It would certainly cost a hell of a lot more than €500 to get a bog standard GPX to this level of spec. If your looking for a Manual GPX and intend on getting it to that spec anyway then this makes a lot of sense.
Its certainly worth looking at - though I imagine if I was buying I'd be looking to keep the ITG and aftermarket steering wheel as well at this asking price.

I don't think a 98 GPX at what seems present market rates of 12-13K is any better value.

BTW - theres not a snowballs chance in hell I'd sell my 95 GPX manual for 8K.

Thanks Myfeckin FTO, I wasn’t sure if 8k is too much, too little, maybe, but she stands me more than that, but ill be open to offers of coarse, its very hard to put a price on a friend!!!
The reason the ITG, steering wheel etc. are not for sale is because they were given to me as presents, and I hope one day to be needing them again!

Cheers guys for all the positive comments, still looking about 8k CJ, will take a bit less of coarse. I thought there would have been more interest than there has so far, i guess theres a lot of good FTOs for sale right now.
