what to do first

Guys what should i do next, ;
should i start the exterior work on the car,

of keep goign the way im going and get a LSD fitted,
(and i do alot of back road driving so yes it would help)

I'd say do the paint Dan, you know my feelings on the colour scheme at this stage though!

Get some more oomph under the bonnet - then you can focus on looksies after september...

Only messing but I wouldn't touch the exterior of that car. I think it's perfect as it is. Fair enough the Carbon thing would be fine but don't do anything else IMO.

Remember I'm still very interested in your spoiler if you do decide to change it...

Wouldn't bother - its hardly noticeable in the GPvR. Different if it was a high bhp RWD car but kinda a waste in the FTO.

got the car serviced today! you cant see a difference with a LSD but i do! im having to change the tyre on the ftont left every 3 months as with the open diff its just constantly using the power through the short drive.

Have you EVER driven an FTO with the clutch/gearbox LSD? You may notice a small difference on the track but if you'll need to be driving at 10 tenths on the road to see the difference it'll make.

For instance you would expect it would make a difference to the 1/4 mile time - but in fact the last few years in Limerick - its been the manual GPXs leading the GpvR's - the FTO just isn't powerful enough to make an LSD worthwhile - in fact the extra weight will negate any advantage you feel you may have.

Is a particular part of the tyre wearing out or whats happening?

If you had more power going to one wheel than another you'd either be going around in circles or getting a lot of wheel spin which is down to a heavy foot. Did you get the alignment checked?

... don't you only have the car about 3 months?

Doubt if the Diff is the cause of your tyre wear, I would be more inclined towards tracking, worn suspension part or it could also be down to driving style.

nope its even ware, the left wheel spins a good bit at times, and trackin is perfect

Well without a limited diff once a wheel has let go if you keep applying power that wheel will stay spinning so the problem becomes self amplifying..

in that the tyre will be more worn - so more likely to spin - causing it to wear further making it more likely to spin.. repeat till tyre eventually is worn out and the other one has a lot less wear on it..

my advice..

less of the wheel spin - works for me.
