Replacing FTO Light Stalk

Hi

my 1997 GX is having a problem with the lights not switching off unless I wiggle the stalk and then sometimes when I'm away from the car the lights switch themselves on and the battery goes flat !

Does anyone know how easy it is to change the stalk\ control unit.


A manual would be useful too.

take of the steering wheel and a few little screw disconnect the plugs and take it off its easy

Does it have an airbag?

you dont need to remove the steering wheel to access the stalk on either side of the steering wheel. i had to replace my left stalk and it was plain sailing . removed casings etc. , undo a few screws , connectors etc. cant remember really. but i do remember it is easy then i first thought.
