Sickening, but it looks like it's been spotted.
Hopefully it all turns out well.

the spotted one is on an UK reg and doesn't have the boot button... I'd say it's long gone!

Jesus I would actually cry if this happened to me. Car thieves should be strung up by the dingly danglies but this was a professional job. Be a lot harder to find than if it was just some scumbags looking for a joyride.

I would say its halfway across England at this stage. My heart bleeds for the guy big time :(

It's shocking and sickening alright. The real rat in all this is the insider who gave them the tip off. He was a major contributor but, doesn't get his hands dirty and probably could not be linked anyway. I'm not clear if it was insured or registered.
I wonder if you appealed to the VRO would they refund your VRT? Probably not.

Wasn't registered anyway, according to the owner. Vdubbin should have been more careful on the VAG website... didn't help matters anyway.

Wow some effort by all involved at the websites though, between finding the original post of the car before she was unloaded and fellas signing up to back up statements, massive attention! Good to see such an effort made to get someones car back!

It's not the same guy who had his collection burned out is it?

We were all gutted when we heard about your particular collection of cars being burnt out. Can't stress that enough

If so there could be more to it than meets the eye...

That was an old friend of mine (old as in used to hang around with him years back) - was speaking to his brother 2 days after it all happened. Not a good time for them for many reasons.
