Breaking FTO 95, 2.0 tiptronic

Postby Julius » Sat Jun 07, 2014 9:36 pm

Hello dear FTO owners and fans,

I am breaking my FTO due to failed NCT check (underneath is rusted, universal cat converter gave up after 3 years being installed). Car is in very good technical condition, has 122kmls, alloys are 17" with 215/40 tyres (one alloy cap is missing). Two tyres are new and other two has 80% of thread. HID Xenon lights, all electrics are working fine. There are no modification on this car, I owned it since brought fromk UK in 2008. There are no damages on the body. Bonnet is wrapped in 3D carbon fibre tape. New (genuine I guess) exhaust was fitted in 2007. I have spare brake pads, oil filter.

If someone would interested in buying complete car then I would ask for €650, otherwise will brake apart and will look for newer FTO with manual gear box as I am FTO fan.

You won't get anywhere near €650, so better off breaking. Your post count is below 10, so your ad will be removed by a mod. Good luck.

Thanks for cheering me up. I'll strip the car and will scrap body of it.
Can't see the reason for removing my advert. An ad of this car will be posted on Done Deal too.

I bought one last week for 150 without rust. It is a donor car. My brother in law bought one 2 weeks ago which is nct ready and cost 250. A 1995 auto fto with a big nct fail is not going to reach 200, let alone €650. I am just being straight with you. Thats why i suggested breaking it. Your post count has doubled since my first reply, so maybe your for sale thread will be left in place

Goz_83, you've and your cousin been lucky to get FTO's for such low money. As I am looking for GPX FTO for several weeks now, I did not come across for these for the price as you and your cousin got.

Anyway, I am stripping my FTO and perhaps some parts will fit my new FTO when I will find it.

Drive safely.

Yup, a flurry of replies in the for sale section to bring the post count up to 10.
At least that suggests the rules have been read

@ Julius, you might want to add your location to your profile, it'll help when selling parts.

You won't find them listed at those prices. They are listed above €500 usually. It's what is paid is all that matters. And it's my brother in law, not my cousin.

@Bernard, I noticed the post count trick too. Very tactical haha. He is also in Limerick if you need parts
