Honda Prelude - how quick?

Postby soc » Thu Sep 18, 2003 3:37 pm

Hey,

Just wondering how quick a honda prelude is? I'm talking the older (more curvy model), 93/94 era. Is there a big difference between the vtec and non-vtec?

The reason I ask is that I had one no more than 2 feet from my bumper after overtaking him on the M50 last night - -overtook him as we both came through the tool bridge heading south. He wasn't happy. So he tail-gated me at 60mph all along the bridge. After the bridge (on the hill) I let it rip, down to 3rd, he tried to stay with me but by 90mph he was way back and gave up.

Cheers

The Vtec pushes out 200 brake and will do 0-60 in 6.8 secs, so it should be slightly quicker than a Tip GR or GPX, a manual may or may not take it. Note too sure about the non-Vtec version, I think its somewhere around 160 bhp. Anyway, they look like crap ;)
