it's been 14 months I think - not too sure..But I've renewed insurance twice and the 1st time was around 4-8weeks after handing the car in..

I do like the result..but it concerns me a bit that the front is as low as it is...doesn't really show in the pictures but it's REALLY low.

Getting 17s on there will help a teentsy bit (I'm thinking half inch or so)...

Was really frustrated when I spotted a couple of things that needed sorting out, but after waiting this long there's no way I'd take it and not be satisfied with it...

"Do not put child in bag" It worries me that someone needs to be told this!

Yeah, after waiting this long there's no point rushing at the end. Can't wait to see it though. :)

First place I'd think of putting it, better chance its not going to escape out of there than the feeble little trolley thing.

Janus you're dead right, dont dare take it back as its been there so long if its not 100% perfect. Least they could do is make sure its spot on.

Ehm..Only Babies I'm having is dthe baby elefant in my stomac and my car...

I just thought the pram was funny...didn't have anything to put in it like...(so I left it in the car park...not at all tempted to race it about making screetchy wroum wroum sounds)

I thought it was a pic you got of the net cause of the American number plate on the car behind, but you said you're just back from there didn't you. Makes sense now.
Shame on you Laura spreading those rumors again. :D

She's now sitting in my drive..

Looking better than she's done in a LONG time..

The Kit itself consist of JDL front and rear add-ons - I know some of the UK guys refer to this as "Hyper" that reference doesn't come up on the JDL site so I don't know where they got that Idea.
For Side skirts I opted for the Classic DC variant - They've been moulded to the extend that there's still an outline of the full contour of the skirt - but there are no sharp lines.
The Bootlid has been delocked and despoilered - cause that's what I like.
Front wings have been chhanged a little in that indicators have been replaced with Triagular Focus style ones. Further more some might remember that I purchased glassfibre wings with a "vent" indent off an eBay seller ukkits77 or mrkits77 I cant remember..These proved to be an absolute mare. They didn't fit at all - they have chunks missing from bad manucature and bad packaging during transit - Corners were all Round and just plain WRONG.
I cannot recommend anybody to buy anything from that seller - unless you're willing to do some chopping and splicing. Essentially the shape was cut from the glass fibre wing and moulded into the steel wings - as it turns out it looks alright.
Last but not least I have my twin cans of death on there for the time being - after the 40min drive back my hearing is slightly worse for wear..I may need to reconsider that choice, after all my neighbours are nice people...

Problems that have occured while car has been sitting idle this far includes (but I BET they're not limited to);

Siezed front brake caliper (ARGH! I just fixed that on the bleedin Legnum!)
Air filter Choked full of Dust (Dishwasher safe I think!)
Extremely slippy Alternator belt (Check slack, if banjaxed replace)
Slight farting from join between rear and center section of exhaust (Check Install, Adjust Uclamp & apply anti-leaky paste to join)
All fluids gone off (Out with the old, in with the new)
Battery collapsed (Replaced)

Hoses seem alright & she firing perfectly so plugs and plugleads are ok (knocks on wooden desk) - I'll keep an eye on them to be safe.

I'd just like to say a BIG thanks to Mark and Abby who piled into their car and sh1t o'clock last night to meet a very panicy Muad and missus in th emiddle of flip all after I thought I'd identified a blown headgasket..Turns out there was a bit of condesation built up in the inside of my oil cap.

Left car to Idle for about an hour, possibly a bit longer - rechecked vitals - and drove home - only scraped the bumper 4-5 times - hopefully increased diameter wheels and tyres will fix that otherwise we're talking coilovers.

I drove every carefully the whole way home, Only once did I verify that the mivec is still functional - I did miss that feeling.

I will do my best to get home while it's still bright today so I can get some proper pictures for you - I have no doubt there will be some of you that do like the kit..but it's mine, and I like it :-)

It's pretty torterous knowing that I cant drive it till I have all the stuff on the list above sorted - further to that I have a heap of stuff that needs fitting..

Brakelines
Brake discs
GR Dialsurround (without fog light button)
Front & Rear Strut Braces (top and bottom - h brace for front bottom so that'll be a hoot..)
Short Shift kit
CAI
and I Definately need to tint the rear lights..

Once again... Mark and Abby - you are super stars!! Thank you for ALL you help!

Looking forward to seeing the pics - going spoilerless is the way to go with an FTO IMO especially if you've a front splitter and DC sideskirts.

Haven't seen the JDL kit ever work on the FTO so it'll be interesting to see if you can pull it off - No Pressure!
Having said that the worst bit of the JDL kit is the side skirts - the DC skirts you have fitted are far nicer.

Brilliant Janus! I like the front bumper, and I think once you have new rims on there itll really set the whole car off. The vents are quite nice too, again with new rims they'll be a big point.
Good job! :ll

Looks sweet Janus, new wheels will really set it off, I think I would have liked to see the DC skirts fully moulded if it were me....LOVE the colour!!

(Image shack is so slow though, takes an age to load the picture!)
