Can facelift FTO s be imported in to UK

Just looking at the UK FTO OC and there are loads of post 1997 facelift FTOs. Has the situation changed as regards not being able to take them into the UK?

They have a model report for tiptronic facelifts now, but still none for manuals (yes they need separate ones apparently ).. and getting a SVLA model report involvs crashing three cars head on, so someone would have to import 3 and then write them all off... so its probably not going to happen any time soon.

Most of the facelifts you see advertised over there were probably imported before the new SVLA laws came into effect last year.
