Think I topped you Shane....SL 55 AMG

Postby Ivan E » Tue May 04, 2004 1:54 pm

Think I did, managed to pass a Mercedes SL 55 AMG last week. Granted I was in the bus lane, doing 40 and turning left. :D

What a car! And the blonde in the passenger seat!! Must come with it as every time I see these they are in them.

On a side note, had a go in a 2.0l Prelude. Nice car to drive, much smoother than the FTO but just nowhere as nice looking. Reckon my GR was faster.

The 2L Prelude knocks out 175 BHP, in saying that, its a heavier car so it will take that little bit extra to get up to speed, your GR should out accelerate and out handle it without too much difficulty.

Well that's what I thought. My cousin didn't take it too well and tried to show me what it could do. But there wasn't a whole lot in the difference. My soon to be brother-in-law has the Prelude 2.2 Vitec. Leather interior as well but its a tip.

I haven't actually tried that one yet so can't really report on it yet. I just feel that they are missing something on the inside that shows its a sports car. The extra dials and the way the central console comes up so high does it for the FTO.

Both cars are '98 but I wish we had the same suspension.

What's the difference with a Type R?

If you mean a GPvR, some of the main differences (as standard) are:

Lowered Suspension
Front strut brace
Limited slip diff
HID lights
Manual aircom (ie. lighter)
Version R spolier

If you're taling about a Honda, then you're gonna have to search the web ;)
