No NCT for over 2 years

Postby JD » Mon Sep 17, 2007 10:03 pm

I'll be doing my NCT in late October OVER 2 years after the last one ran out  and just wondering what date will they put on the cert if I pass? Can they put a date in the past on a cert? or will I just have to do it a few weeks later again to get the next two years. Any idea anyone?

(BTW I'd really appreciate a lend of a cat nearer the time if anyone has a clean one to spare).

Cheers all

This is my understanding of it:

If it's now later in the year than the cars birthday, then you're ok. if was a year and 50 weeks overdue, then you'd have to do another 2 weeks later.

Its every 2yrs from the registration date so I reckon you'll be fine. If you did it a week before the 2 yrs then you'd only get a cert for a week.
Did mine recently, was a year out  and got a cert for a year.
